Claudie Dalton, 84, of Cana, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his home. Mr. Dalton was born in Carroll County to the late Alfred Ward and Ruby Goad Dalton. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Brooks of North Carolina; children, Dwight Dalton of California and Dwayna Hendrickson of Arizona; siblings, Nelson Dalton of Hillsville, Mary Horton of Galax, and Billie Taylor of Hillsville; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Cana Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
