Clarence Earl Henley, 87 of Galax, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Henley was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late George Wilson and Daisy Lee James Henley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Smith Henley; and siblings, Cecil Henley, Thelma Henley, Annie Robinson, Virginia Reese, and Rita Alderman.

Survivors include his children, Frank James Henley (Debbie) of Henderson, NV, Susan Henley Sierra of Hillsville, Sonja Dane Henley of Greensboro, NC, Jama Dollyhigh (Hassell) of Mt. Airy, NC, Angie Burcham of Hillsville, Jody Burcham of Galax, and Aleshia Burcham Henley of Iowa City, IA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; best friend and dance partner, Annette Pearman; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later time at the Hardy Jenkins Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
