Clarence Cecil Dalton, Jr., 81(Big Red) of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mr. Dalton was born in Mount Airy, NC to the late Clarence Cecil Dalton, Sr. and Nora Edwards Dalton.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Katie M. Dalton; and a son, Kenneth Dalton.

He was a member of the New River Valley Tractor Club, Mountain Empire Tractor Club, Peters Mountain Tractor Club.

Survivors include his children, Charles Dalton (Kacey) and Deborah Ziglar (Steve); and grandchildren, Casey Jones, Kelsey Jones, Carlie Dalton, Landon Dalton, Zoey Dalton, Natalie Dalton, JoAnna Dalton, and Rileigh Dalton.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Monta Vista Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Bays officiating.  The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Monday from 12:00 until 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Truckers Parade. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
