Clara Helen Jarrett Spraker

Clara Helen Jarrett Spraker, 85 of Austinville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Spraker was born in Gary, West Virginia on February 7, 1941 to the late James William Jarrett, Jr. and Anna Marie Runyon Jarrett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by all her siblings, which included ten brothers and one sister; and a great-grandson, Draven Cleary.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Spraker of the home; daughters, Sandra Jones (Chris Dean) of Austinville and Cindy Lineberry of Hillsville; grandchildren, Stephanie Walker of Hillsville, Danielle Alderman (Travis) of Roanoke, Brandi Jones of California, and Chris Jones of Austinville; great-grandchildren, Denver Walker, Phebe Walker, Aidan Alderman, Isaac Alderman, and Averi Alderman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Mr. Gilbert Myers and Pastor Ricky Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
