Clara Mac Smith, 94 of Hillsville passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork in the presence of her family. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents Franklin & Rosetta Mitchell; husband Thomas Frank Smith and son Frank Darrell Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her children & spouses Don G. & Sue Smith of Galax, Jo Lynn & Jesse Newman of Dugspur and Beverly & Rabon Jessup of Roanoke; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Mary H. Smith of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Ray Eichler, Rev. J. Alfred Pinkerton and Rev. Edward Lanning officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday night at the funeral home.
