Christine Mae Shockley Hall, 72, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Hall was born in Carroll County to the late Dyer Smith and Nellie Lineberry Shockley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Hall; son, Ray Hall, and grandson, Rusty Hall. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Donna Gail Melton of Versailles, KY, Terry and Glenda Hall of Fancy Gap, Barry and Nancy Melton of Hillsville and Ricky Hall of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Joyce Shockley of Hillsville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Charity Melton, Derek Hall, Trevor Hall, Jeff Laffoon, Travis Hall, Alicia and Greg Testerman, and Josh and Amy Edwards; five great grandchildren, Tyler Harless, Zoey Dawn, and Logan, Parker and Wyatt Edwards; and special friends, Tommy Edwards and Sue Seahen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Mr. J.D. Rotenizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Sky View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and at other times at Christine's home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
