Christina Louise Rigney, 54 of Galax, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at her home.  Mrs. Rigney was born in Ohio on July 17, 1971.  She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Louise and Larry Linkous; brother, Darrell Myers; and sister, Michelle Myers.

Survivors include her husband, Larry F. Rigney; children, Larry Darrell Rigney, Summer Louise Callaghan, Cody Lee Rigney, and Teresa Gail Rigney; father and stepmother, Leroy and Glenna Myers; siblings, Robert Burnette (Pam), Tony Burnette (Regina), and Tammy Burnette (Elizabeth); six grandchildren; and nephew, Christopher Bolen.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Gilbert Myers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
