Chris Colin Sturgill's Obituary
Chris Colin Sturgill, 53 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his home. Mr. Sturgill was born in Sparta, NC on January 30, 1964. He was preceded in death by his father, J.M. Sturgill.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy Sturgill of the home; mother, Lorraine Sturgill of North Carolina; stepson and spouse, Christopher and Caity Weddle of Hillsville; granddaughter, Bailee Weddle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Richard Petty and Paula and Steve Brooks all of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
