Charlotte Marie Lawson, 72, of Austinville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Janie Smith Eller; son Dennis Ray Lawson.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by her husband, Haskell Robert Lawson of the home; four sons and daughters in-laws, Jimmy and Teresa Sharp of Woodlawn, Robert Lawson of Austinville, Wayne and Angie Lawson of Galax, and Allen and Marsha Lawson of Austinville; two daughters and son in-law Lora and Ed Terry of Hillsville, and Libby Lineberry of Austinville and special friend Warren Manning; sixteen grandchildren, Keisha Sharp, Kara Hash, Heather Lawson, Eli Lawson, Casey Lawson, Cody Vaughn, Candace Vaughn, Zachary Lawson, Jacob Lawson, Tanner Lineberry, Skyler Lawson, Cassidy Lawson, Hannah Terry, Alexis Lawson, John Dalton Lawson, and Savannah Bourne; four great grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, Blake Brown, Laken Robinson, and Seth Robinson; honorary mother, Mae Easter Stoneman of Austinville; three sisters, Nan Cornell of Lenoir, NC, Ann Burgess of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Stella Eller of New York; one brother, James Eller of Mt. City, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Church in the Laurel community, with Rev. Billy Dean and Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, April 24, 2011 from six until eight p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Pleasant View Youth Group, 1930 Pleasant View Road Austinville, Virginia 24312. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
