Charlie Walter Hall, 96, of Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows, formerly of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. Mr. Hall was born in Fancy Gap to the late Rufus and Lelia Mae Harriman Hall. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wives, Lila M. Hall and Dossie Vass Hall and a son, Verlan Hall. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Archie and Jerry Ann Hall of Fancy Gap, VA and Leon and Jane Hall of Springfield, VA; daughter, Shirley Jackson of Talbott, TN; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Hall of Hartfield, VA; and step-daughter, Barbara Vass of Wytheville, VA. Additional survivors include several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Charles Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
