Charley Sanford Sandy Bond, Sr., 73 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by his son Sandy Everett Bond; parents Edmond and Hazel Bond; and brother Willie Lee Bond. He is survived by his wife Teri ONeal Bond; sons Charlie Sanford Bond, Jr. of Virginia Beach and Rocky Allen Bond of Hillsville; daughter Wilma Gay Bond of Mt. Airy, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Sibyl Bond of Galax, Conrad and Pauline Bond of Pilot, Edmond (Squeak) and Faye Bond of Woodlawn; sisters and brother-in-law Dora and James Vass of Hillsville and Sallie Hall of Hillsville; four grandson, 2 granddaughters, and 2 great granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Michael Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Surratt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
