Charles Ray Nester, 68, of Luray, VA passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Alpha Mae (Collier) Nester; sisters, Cosby Cox, and Melvina Roberts; brother, Hugh Paunee Nester. Survivors include his wife Brenda Bond Nester of the home; sister, Nancy Slusher and fiancé J.R. Stephens of Falls Church, VA; brother Leon Nester of Kill Devil Hills, NC; sisters-in-laws, Dale Nester of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Dot Nester of Lexington, NC, several nieces and nephews also survive; two special cats, Bob and Daisy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Erich Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery in Laurel Fork, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Lupus Foundation, P.O.
