Charles A. Martin, 79, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Coy William and Bessie Myrtle Bishop Martin; brothers, Ozzie Martin, Paul Wayne Martin, and Ralph Martin. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Antoinette Martin of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Retha and Randy Morris of CO; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patsy Martin of Hillsville; brother, Lewis Martin of Hillsville; two half sisters, Pauline Webster, and Rachel Young; half brother, Carles Martin; five grandchildren and spouse, Jason C. Morris, Jonathan M. Morris, Tomas E. and Sara M. Morris, April D. Martin, and Amber L. Martin; great granddaughter, Maren E. Morris. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Dewey Felts, and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
