It is with great sadness that our family announces that our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to all, Charles (Charlie) Michael Jones passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 49 on October 14, 2021 at his home in Woodlawn, VA. Born on February 14, 1972 in Galax, VA to Emmett & Sylvia Jones, he was the apple of his parents' eyes. Charlie grew up in Carroll County, VA and from a very young age spent most of his life working alongside his father at Jones Nursery. He was an accomplished mechanic and nurseryman. One of the happiest days of his life was when he married his wife Julia Bowman Jones. The next happiest days were when his beloved sons were born. He loved dearly and always enjoyed helping people, and many turned to him for assistance with various projects.

Charlie will be greatly missed by his wife Julia Bowman Jones, two sons, Joseph Michael Jones and Grayson Emmett Jones along with his loving mother, Sylvia Frost Jones. His three sisters Deborah Jones Thompson, Karen Jones Campbell and husband C.L., and Phyllis Ayers and husband Don will also greatly miss him as will his brothers Joseph Jones, David Jones, James Jones, John Jones and several nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father E.W. Jones Jr., grandparents Mr. & Mrs. E.W. Jones Sr. and Mr. & Mrs. Isaac Frost.

Visitation will be at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church 203 Virginia Street Hillsville, VA from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19. Funeral services will also be held at Hillsville Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, October 20 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a tree or shrub be planted in honor of Charlie to continue his landscaping legacy and for contributions to be made to a trust fund set up for the Jones boys.
