Charles Wayne Johnson, 44 of Ararat, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Paula Leah Johnson of the home; son Christopher Wayne Johnson of Ararat; daughters Brandy Louise Pareja of Columbia, SC and Rachel Faye Johnson of Ararat, VA; sisters Peggy Hatcher of McCall, SC, Betty Hunt of Laurinburg, NC and Melissa Jordan of Tampa, FL; brothers Arthur Jr. Johnson of McCall, SC, Butch Johnson of McCall, SC, Tim Johnson of Laurinburg, NC, Ronnie Johnson of McCall, SC, David Johnson, Thomas Johnson of Pembroke, NC and Larry Johnson of Dillon, SC; and two grandchildren Bryce Cochran and Jose-Luis Pareja.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
