Charles Doran Gwyn, 60 of Hillsville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at his home. Mr. Gwyn was born in North Carolina on May 7, 1965.  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Barker.

Survivors include his mother, Rachel Gwyn Freeman; siblings, Tammy Pritchett, Frankie Kiser, Jeffery Freeman, Jennifer Fariss and Wendy Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service, with inurnment following in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery, will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
