Charles "Jay" Eldridge Grandel, Jr. 65 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Twin County Regional Hospital.  Mr. Grandel was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Charles Eldridge and Lillian May Quarles Grandel.

Survivors include his sons, Charles Grandel (Laura) and Ethan Grandel (Courtney); brothers, Bill Chewning (Tabitha) and Christopher Grandel; significant other, Kay Webb; cousin, Ann Grandel; and special loved ones, Donald Tate, Christina Tate, and Diedra Wells.
