Charlene M. Scaggs, 43 of Indian Valley, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Scaggs was preceded in death by her brother Robert Kerns. She is survived by her husband Joseph Scaggs of the home; sons Harrison Jesse Leverton and Michael Joseph Leverton; mother Linda Kerns of Beltsville, MD; and sister & brother-in-law Patricia and Thomas Standly of Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held on Monday April 24, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville.
