Cecil (C.O.) Pierce, 93 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Pierce was born in Loudoun County, VA to the late James W. & Mabel Ann Pierce. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by a son David Lynn Pierce; four brothers & four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Bessie M. Pierce; daughters & son-in-law Marie Tate of Fredericksburg, VA and Nancy & Bill Brown of Rotonda, FL; sons & daughter-in-law Raymond & Mary Jane Pierce of Berryville, VA, Roger Pierce of Richmond, VA and Rickey Pierce of Mt. Airy, NC; sisters & brother-in-law Lillian & Bill Carslie of Leesburg, VA and Rose Jewell of Round Hill, VA; sister-in-law Margie Beales of Hamilton, VA; 14 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Ashburn, VA with Pastor John Zolar officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM and at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Laurel Fork Rescue Squad P.O.
