Carson Marshall, 84 of Dugspur, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. Mr. Marshall was born in Carroll County to the late Mack & Ocie Goad Marshall. He is survived by his wife Hazel Marshall of the home; son Ronald Marshall of Dugspur; sister Lucille McGuire of Danville; brothers & sisters-in-law Vilmon & Vella Marshall of Danville and Verdon & Nannie Marshall of Dugspur; and nephew & spouse Tony & Rachel Marshall of Dugspur.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jonathan David LaMontagne and Rev. Alfred Pinkerton officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
