Carson Gardner, 66 of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Gardner was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Warren & Mary Thomas Gardner. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Delwood Gardner. He is survived by his wife Ruby Ann Gardner of the home; children Robert Burnette of Max Meadows, Tammy Burnette of Dugspur, Tony Burnette of Hillsville, Angela Harris of Meadows of Dan, and Kevin Pack of Meadows of Dan; brother Randolph Gardner of North Carolina; sisters Josephine Poindexter of Chesapeake and Murlene Gunter of Hillsville; and four grandchildren Casey Burnette, Nicholas Burnette, Melvin Boyd, Jr. and Daniel Boyd.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Nathan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
