Carroll Lee Melton, 59, of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Carroll was born in Galax, VA on March 4, 1953 to Glen and Etheleen Farmer Melton. Carroll was an employee of Harmon's Western Wear in Woodlawn, VA. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph W. and Helen Melton of Hillsville, VA, Virgil R. and Sue Melton of Galax, VA, and Herman A. and Shirley Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Freddie Weddle of Galax, VA, Geneva and Larry Quesenberry of Hillsville, VA, Reva and Norman Nester of Hillsville, VA, Marie and Howard Dalton of Galax, VA, and Fay and Jerry Snavely of Austinville, VA. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Etheleen Melton; and brothers, Dyer G. Melton, Harley H. Melton, Kenneth A. Melton, and Dale W. Melton. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Timmy McGrady and Elder Ronnie Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
