Carolyn Elizabeth Sutphin, 69 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Sutphin was born in Grayson County, Virginia to the late James Albert and Zola Frances Hamm Osborne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lee Snow.

Survivors include her husband, Rocky Sutphin; sister, Fran Atkins and husband, Jim; brothers, James Osborne and wife, Linda Jane and David Osborne; chosen children of their heart, Ashley Phillips, Lisa Love, and Frances Burcham; and chosen grandchildren, Sara Ann Sharitz, Hailey Billings, Montana Billings, Zola Billings, Mason Billings, Sadie Burcham, and Teri Carter. The family is very thankful for the love they have received from Mt. Hebron Church.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kirk Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Hebron Church.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
