Carolyn Igo Fowler, 78 of Hillsville, passed away on June 30, 2025 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem.  Mrs. Fowler was born in Galax, Virginia to the late William Junior and Fern Elane Frye Igo.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dean Igo and a sister, Sheila Hooven.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Fowler; children, Martin "Marty" Fowler and Misty Fowler Melton (Lloyd); granddaughter, Haley Elizabeth Melton; siblings, Patrick Igo, Janet Patterson, and Valerie Williams (Connie); and sister-in-law, Renee Igo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jason Ratliff officiating.  Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 356 Hillsville, VA 24343.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
