Carolyn Denise Fariss passed away Tuesday, September 19th, 2023. Carolyn was born November 27th, 1966 in Mount Airy, North Carolina to Glenna Gravely and the late Robert Fariss. Carolyn worked as a CNA at Grayson Rehab and cared for her patients deeply. Though Carolyn worked at Grayson Rehab for around four years, she enjoyed her role as a CNA for much longer. She was loving, caring and a hard worker. Her favorite thing in this world was being a mom. She would do anything she could for anyone. She was an angel on earth and will be missed by many.

Carolyn is survived by her mother Glenna Gravely, and daughter Adrianna Fariss Hernandez. Other survivors include brother and sisters: David Fariss (Katherine Holston), Teresa Fariss (John Gray), Lisa Carico, and Angie Ochoa (Jesse). Nieces and nephews include: Lisa Mize, James Waller, Amanda Mize, Matthew Waller, Dylan Fariss, Ashley Belton, Kassie Fariss, Julie Ochoa, Shayne Fariss, Lily Ochoa, and Avery Fariss. Great nieces and nephews include: Kinsley Mize, Breccan Belton, Lleyton Belton, Mariah Fariss, Evelynn Belton and Madi Waller. A special friend survived by Carolyn is Billy Long.

The family will be receiving friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 12:30-2:00pm on Sunday, September 24th, 2023. A funeral service will follow at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00pm with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial to follow at Rigney Cemetery.
