Carolyn Jane Cothren, 73 of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Cothren was born in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Edward and Nellie Phillips Padgett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Mack Cothren and daughter, Samantha Jane Cothren.

Survivors include her son, Rodney Cothren; brother, Bobby Dean Dickerson; special cousin, Creasy Alice Phillips; and many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rodney Cothren officiating. Burial will follow in the Howlett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
