Carol A. Cooper, age 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Cooper was born in Grosse Point Woods, Michigan to the late Virgil and Pauline Steingass Broderick. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Paul Cooper and Chris and Penni Cooper all of Hillsville; brother, Jeff Broderick of Grosse Point Woods, Michigan; and grandchildren, Christoper Cooper, Jr., Randi Cooper, Sarah Caudill and husband Justin, Brittany Cooper and Brendon Cooper. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Victory Way Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Wells and Pastor Danny Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
