Carlos Creed Combs, 78, of Woodlawn passed away on December 23, 2006 at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gladys Banks Combs of the home, son and daughter-in-law Carlos Wayne & Betty Shelor Combs of Woodlawn; daughters and sons-in-law Barbara & Russell Danley of Rural Hall, NC, Linda & Leon Dalton of Radford; grandchildren Angela Kanipe, Chris Dalton, Cynthia Allen, Bryan Dalton; great grandchildren Maggie Kanipe, Faith Kanipe, Carson Kanipe, Andrew Dalton, Brooke Allen, and Connor Allen. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Combs.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel with Rev. Russell Vass and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon cemetery on Joy Ranch road. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel in Hillsville. Flowers will be appreciated, or friends may make a donation to the Mt. Lebanon cemetery fund in care of Russell Branscome; 4139 Joy Ranch Rd, Hillsville, VA 24343.
