Carlie Edmond McCraw, 84 of Fancy Gap, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.  Mr. McCraw was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Ruben Howard and Gracie Clementine Hall McCraw.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Olen McCraw; sisters, Frances Goad and Mabel Bryant; and special step-grandson and friend, Chrisopher Kelley.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret McCraw; daughters, Sherri Brown (Michael) and Lisa Kelley (Alan); grandchildren, Ashley Austin (Lucas), Candace Tozollo (Michael), Bridgette Lawson (Tony), and Jesse Shelton; step-grandson, Shane Kelley; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Carlyann, Evelyn, Hudson, Liam, and Avery; step-great-grandchildren, Cullen, Caylin, Caden, Sierra, and Alyiah; and special cousins and friends, JD McCraw, Clifford Hall, and Donnie McCraw.

Carlie loved spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed being outdoors and working on the farm, especially with his grandson, Jesse.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Lucas Austin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
