Carleton Leonard Zimmerman, Sr., 82 of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Mr. Zimmerman was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Joseph Edward and Ester Turner Zimmerman.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Zimmerman; and son, Steven Wayne Zimmerman.

Survivors include his children, Robin Hedge (Jeff), Lorrie Hilbish (John), Lynn Zimmerman (Linda), and Ed Jones; and grandchildren, Lily Hedge, Becky Hedge, Olivia Jones, Savannah Jones, Johnny Hern, Crystal Zimmerman, Johnathan Hilbish, and Justin Hilbish.

There will be no services at this time.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
