Carl Joshua "Huck" Edwards , 88 of Austinville, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at his home. Mr. Edwards was born in Carroll County to the late Joshua Andrew and Flora Burnett Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Leota Edwards of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Hopkins of Gainesville, VA; and two grandchildren, Kevin Hopkins and Kimberly Johns.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 2:00 Pm with Mr. Ed Buchanan officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
