Carl S. Clontz, 68 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Clontz was born in Carroll County to the late Edgar and Vina Alderman Clontz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Eula Mae Horton, Bonnie Turman and Sarah Sue Clontz; and brothers, Willie James Clontz, Donald Ray Clontz, Jerry Clontz, and Manuel David Clontz.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Bowman Clontz of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Diane and Antonio Garcia of Boonville, NC; sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Carl and Crystal Clontz of Hillsville and Matthew Lee Clontz of Boone, NC; brothers, Eddie Clontz and J.D. Clontz both of Hillsville; sisters, Alice Martin of Wood Bridge, VA, Annie Bell Primm of Hillsville; and Hattie Quesenberry of Dugspur; and grandchildren, Christopher Lee Everhart, Brittney Gale Brown, and Joshua Tyler Clontz.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September, 8, 2016 at Fairview Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ben Behrendt officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman Clontz Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted at the graveside by Grayson V.F.W. Post 7726. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
