Calvin George Bryant, 78 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson and one sister. He is survived by his wife Laura Effie Bryant of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Brenda & Ricky Smith of Lambsburg, Margaret and Erroll Rhea Jett of Hillsville and Bonnie & Marvin Edwards of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law Calvin Wayne & Charlotte Bryant of Hillsville; brothers Beecher Bryant of Miamisburg, OH and Arvil Bryant of Madisonville, TN; sisters Irene Anderson, Rilda Picklesiemer and Thelma Bridges all of Madisonville, TN; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Neil Eidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
