Byrun (Slicks) William Spence, 73 of Dugspur, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Spence was born in Carroll County to the late Euell D. & Carrie Bowman Spence. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by five brothers John, Daniel, Arden, David and Edward Spence; and a brother-in-law Kyle Webb. He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law J.D. & Linda Spence of Woodlawn; sisters & brother-in-law Lena Mae Webb of Laurel Fork and Sue & Joe Stanley of Meadows of Dan; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Michael Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in the Spence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
