Buford Newman, 77 of Austinville, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Garnett & Annie Mae Newman; brothers Paul & Bolen Newman and sister Beulah Hudson. Mr. Newman is survived by his wife Ollie Newman of the home; daughter & son-in-law Kimberly & Perry Cloud of Fancy Gap; grandson Tyler Cloud; brother Hilery Newman of Hillsville; and sisters-in-law Helen Newman of Mt. Airy, NC and Lucille Newman of Hillsville.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 3:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ty Harrison, Rev. Ronnie Collins and Rev. Charles Smythers officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 2:00 PM until service time.
