Buel Nathan Alderman, 82, of Meadows of Dan, VA passed away on Sunday, April 01, 2012 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Mr. Alderman retired from Virginia Carolina Freight lines after 29 years, 9 months and 1 day of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Unella Alderman. Mr. Alderman is survived by daughter, Patty Sue Jones of Bassett; sons and daughter in-law, Danny and Reva Alderman of Meadows of Dan, and Harvey Alderman of Meadows of Dan; brother and sister in-law, Delmar and Lois Alderman of Hillsville; sisters and brother in-law, Pauline Turner of Fieldale, and Lorraine & Keith Goad of Dugspur; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 3 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Nathan Montgomery and Rev. Howard Nester officiating. Burial will follow in the C.B. Webb Cemetery in Floyd County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
