Brenda Gail Thompson, 63 of Galax, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Carroll County to the late Clayton Thomas Farmer and Thelma Edith Henley. Survivors include her husband, Scott Thompson of the home; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carolyn Farmer of South Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and James Cave of Tennessee, Joyce and Bill Barr of Maryland, Edith and Darin Wade, Priscilla and David Sawyers, Nancy Farmer Largen, Janet Wynn, Barbara and James Fields and Sonya and Adam Cregger all of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 611 East Stuart Drive, Galax, at 5:00 PM with Pastor Daniel Royo and Pastor Harold Cox officiating.
