Brenda Sue Johnson, 77, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Friday, September 9, 2022.  She was born February 19, 1945 in the Town of Fries to the late Reuben Edward Johnson, Sr and Opal Geneva Brady Johnson.

Brenda enjoyed staying active.  She worked for Stanley Furniture in Martinsville, Virginia for fifty (50) years.  After retiring, she moved back to Hillsville and worked ten (10) years at Shoney's.  She was a member of Martinsville Fire and Rescue  and Hillsville Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by sister Pat Arnold Dixon and brother J. R. Johnson, Jr. of Hillsville; nieces and nephews – Lisa Williams, Robbie Williams (Tonya), Kevin Johnson, Bridgett Goble (Wesley).

She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by sisters: Betty, Janie, Anna Johnson and Faye Jefferson; also, two nephews Terry Lee and Michael Arnold.

The family will have visitation Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fries, Virginia.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is in charge of arrangements for Ms. Johnson.
