Brenda Felts Alderman Obituary
On a quiet, slightly rainy afternoon February 10, 2024, our dear mother, Brenda Felts Alderman,
surrounded by her family, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of Jesus.

She is now reunited with her husband of 47 years, Carlos E. Alderman, who passed in 2009 and her beloved Cavalier,
Dootsie, where she will enjoy heaven until we all are reunited when the Lord calls us home.

She was born in Wythe County and raised in Carroll County, VA to the late Garland and Irene Beasley Felts. She
and Daddy married in 1962 and made their home in Roanoke. The highlights of her career included
working at the Salem GE Plant, and as a nanny to Tabitha, William and Grace Ball, who have all grown up
and are the most wonderful adults! Her family was the joy of her life.

She is survived by two daughters, Mickey and Kim (Brian) to cherish her memory; three loving grandchildren, Brandon, Keeley, and
Stephanie; and her beloved siblings, sister Sandra Jean Felts and Gary Wayne Felts (Shirley)

Mom received her Vascular Dementia diagnosis in March of 2019, and she had a good run, only being
down the final two months of her life. We sincerely appreciate the care given to mom by Coastal
Hospice, Hartley Nursing and Rehab, and our dear family friend Mary Harrison.

There will be a time of remembrance in Maryland, at the home of her daughter Mickey. Later in the
Spring, there will be a gathering of family and friends to reunite and celebrate her life.
