Boyd Melvin Beasley, Sr., 69 of Winterville, NC, formerly of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by parents Darcy Andrew & Sylvia Allen Beasley, and brother Darcy Odell Beasley. Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife, Gail Funderburk Beasley of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Lauren & Rodney Cooper of St. Augustine, FL, Darcy & Kevin Adee of Winterville, NC; son and fiance Boyd Beasley, Jr. & Charlene Felstead of San Francisco, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law Thelma & Kenneth Pippin of Glen Burnie, MD, Joleen & Joe Kyle of Canton, GA, Carol & Robert Martin of Dublin, VA; and grandchildren Ariel Jordan Cooper, Hayley Brianna Cooper, Drake Andrew Adee, Blaire Beasley Adee, and Jacob Thomas Adee.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Brother-in-law Joe Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
