Boyd Oscar Alley, 62, of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home. Mr. Alley was born in Carroll County to the late Ransom Arney and Ina Pickett Alley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Alley and Dallas Alley.

Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Betty Alley and Rudolph and Judy Alley all of Woodlawn; sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and David Hagee of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Shirley Alley of Bell Springs, VA; step sisters, Patti, Leona, Allison and Ann; several nieces and nephews; and his special pet, his dog, Buzz.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Elder Leonard Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
