Bonnie Lillian Shockley Cox, 89 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Cox was born in Virginia to the late Raymond Tipton and Effie Ola Nester Shockley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ibern E. Cox and her son, Carter Cox.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Ann and Ken Webb of the home.

Mrs. Cox was a member of the Hillsville Chapter #71 Order of the Eastern Star.

A graveside service with burial following will be held at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1:30 PM with Pastor David Bays officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the graveside service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
