Bobby Joe Tate, 58, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Tate was born in Carroll County to the late Robert Lee and Mavis Clara Tate. Survivors include his wife, Hilda S. Tate of the home; children and spouses, Bobby Wayne and Stacie Tate of Galax, Diana and Mark Catron of Galax, Tammy and Steven Bowman of Laurel Fork, Tracy and Christal Moore of Dugspur, and Teresa and Wayne Hunt of Lexington, NC; four brothers; three sisters; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Reed Island Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roland McCraw and Rev. Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Island Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral services from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
