Billy "Mike" Goad, 55 of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Dugspur. Mr. Goad was born in Carroll County on October 5, 1961. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Goad.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Goad of the home; mother, Betty Largen Goad; brothers, Bobby Lee Goad of Laurel Fork, James Reuben Goad of Fancy Gap, and Roger Leon Goad of Hillsville; sisters, Ruby Ann Gardner of Meadows of Dan and Gladys Faye Pierpoint of Ohio; mother-in-law, Nora Mabry; and aunt, Florence Goad.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Greg Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
