Billy Lestle Archer, 70, of Fries, passed away at his home on Monday, December 1, 2014. Mr. Archer was born in Grayson County to the late William Lestle and Mary Taylor Archer. Survivors include his children and spouses, Terry and Karla Archer of Fries and Cassie and Tony Vaughan of Cripple Creek; brothers, George Archer of Ivanhoe, Gene Archer of Woodlawn, Thomas Archer of Baywood, and Robert Archer of Fries; sisters, Edna Pearman of Fries, Patsy Bourne or Fries, and Mildred Hoffman of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Holley V. Whitlow, Amber Archer, Joshua Vaughan, and Elijah Vaughan; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; his loving caregiver, Charlotte Archer; and many special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Cold Springs United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
