Beulah Mae Spence Farmer, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her home in Galax, Virginia at the age of 81.  She was born to the late Ralph Amos Spence and Bessie Mazie Stuttler Spence.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl O'dell Farmer; her brother, Rome Pierce Spence; her cousin and special friend, Joyce Marie Stuttler Quesenberry; and a great-niece, April Nicole McCraw.

She is survived by her children, Woodrow Franklin Kettell (Gail) of Hillsville, Timothy James Farmer (Debra) of Galax, Robert Amos Farmer (Lynn) of Hillsville, and Amy Carol Ramirez (Antonio) of Sparta, NC; sister, Annie Spence Riegel; grandchildren, Amanda Hernandez (Francisco), Zac Farmer, Tiffany Farmer, Hector Amos Torres (Chelsea), Desiree Farmer, Eli Ramirez, Antonio Ramirez. Adriana Ramirez, and Preston Farmer; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Ezekiel, Zoey, Mallory, Elias, and Ella; two step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Beulah was a caring, loving mother who enjoyed traveling.  She had a great sense of humor and was always joking around.  Beulah occasionally enjoyed a new outfit and pocketbook and she loved her Coke and KFC Chicken.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Longest, Pastor Garry Allen, and Pastor Jack Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Little Vine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.   Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
