Beulah Newman Hudson, 87, went to be with her Heavenly Family, March 14, 2007. She was born in Wythe County and spent most of her adult life in Richmond where she taught school until her retirement. After her retirement she moved back to Carroll County to be with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hudson; her parents Garnett and Annie Mae Newman; and two brothers Paul and Bolen Newman.

Survivors include two brothers, Hilery and Buford Newman; three sisters-in-law Lucille, Helen and Ollie Newman; and three nieces, Pauline Gross, Judy Hill and Kimberly Cloud.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
