Betty Hill Russell, 69, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Russell was born in Carroll County to the late Robert "Arthur" Hill and Virginia Stockner Hill. She is survived by her husband James Russell; sons and daughters-in law Bob and Jill Russell of Fancy Gap and Mike and Missy Russell of Fancy Gap; grandchildren Brooke and Jeremy Elizalde and Brittany Russell; and one great granddaughter Alison Elizalde. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 4, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Horton and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. The burial will follow at the Independence Cemetery in Fancy Gap. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 3, 2012 from 6 - 8 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
