Betty A. Lyon, 80, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruby Dalton Alderman. Survivors include her husband, Donald Lyon of the home; two sons, Barry Lyon, and Bruce Lyon both of Hillsville; two brothers, Randolph Alderman of Galax, and Marcus Alderman of Richmond. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Lyon family.
