Betty Jo King Griffin, 70 of Woodlawn, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Mrs. Griffin was born in Galax, Virginia to the late Frank and Ethel Sharp King. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James M. "Jimmy" Griffin.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Deana Griffin of Wytheville; grandchildren, Drew Griffin and Ashley Stuart and husband, Kenneth; great-grandchildren, Derrik Sean Stuart and Dallas Cayden Stuart; sisters, Barbara Slate of Galax and Nancy Morris of Hillsville; brother-in-law and spouse, Kenny and Mary Jane Griffin of Galax; and several special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Titus Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and at Mrs. Griffin's home in Woodlawn on Friday, September 28th. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
